RUNNING ANALYSIS

Whether you're training for your first 5K, preparing for a marathon, or returning to running after an injury, a professional physiotherapist led running analysis can help you run more efficiently, reduce your risk of injury, and optimise your performance.

At Ranelagh Physiotherapy, our running analysis combines expert physiotherapy assessment with detailed evaluation of your running technique, biomechanics, strength and mobility. We identify the factors that may be contributing to pain, limiting your performance or increasing your injury risk, before creating a personalised plan to help you achieve your running goals.

Our service is suitable for recreational runners, endurance athletes, trail runners and competitive runners of all levels.

What is a Running Analysis?

A Running Analysis is a comprehensive assessment of how your body moves while you run.

Rather than simply looking at your running style, we assess the entire kinetic chain—including your feet, ankles, knees, hips, pelvis and trunk—to understand how your movement patterns affect performance and injury risk.

Your assessment combines clinical examination with video analysis to provide detailed feedback on your running mechanics.

Who Can Benefit?

Running Analysis is suitable for anyone who wants to:

  • Recover from a running injury
  • Prevent recurring injuries
  • Improve running efficiency
  • Prepare for a marathon or endurance event
  • Improve speed and performance
  • Return to running after surgery or rehabilitation
  • Increase weekly mileage safely
  • Improve running technique
  • Reduce unnecessary energy expenditure
  • Build confidence before race day
